Reading
Children will be expected to read at least three times per week. Families will record their child’s reading in their planners. Each week, the number of home reads will be added up and a class average taken. The average will be recorded every Thursday. The winning class will receive recognition in assembly and rewards for their house.

Homework Grid
Children will have a homework grid, posted on their class page of the school website, at the start of each term. The activities can be completed across the term and will link to previous learning in order to support retention of knowledge.

Spellings
Children in Year 2 – 6 will have a spelling booklet with weekly spelling to learn. A short test will take place weekly with no more than five words being assessed.

Maths
Children will have the opportunity to earn rewards in school around their number bonds to 10 and 20. They will also be able to earn rewards for their times tables. Times tables and number bonds booklets will be available to use on the class pages of the school website.
